Lunch is free, served at noon, speaker starts at 12:30 Speaker is John Kenyon, Chaplain, Lt Col, USAF (retired) The topic for our time together will be centered on Chaplain John Kenyon's deployment to Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan in 2014, and will be sharing about Islamic influence in that war. As the Wing Chaplain for the 27th Special Operations Wing, he deployed in support of the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force-Afghanistan (CJSOTF-A). John served in the US Air Force for 31½ years. Served as a Navigator, Bombardier for 6 years in B-52s (active duty). Then served as Instructor Navigator in C-130s (reserve). Then served for 21½ years in the Air Force Chaplain Corps. Special assignments were Arlington Cemetery, Pentagon, AF Chaplain Corps College, and US Special Forces. Deployed/served in the following theatres/areas: Panama/South America; Sarajevo; Saudi Arabia, France, England, South Korea, and Afghanistan.
