| This is a Basic handgun safety for personal defense course. In will include: - 4 rules of firearm safety - Handgun operation and components - Firearm responsibility - Self defense law and resources from a practical perspective - Shooting posture - Basic range shooting (30 rounds) The Instructor, Jake Nichols is an outdoor enthusiast who has been involved in shooting sports for over 20 years. From teaching friends and family as well as instructing Cub Scouts, he has dedicated his life to helping others practice their constitutional rights safely! Jake is a Scouts BSA certified Range Officer and Firearm Safety Trainer. This class is only open to beginners, and will teach participants to shoot safely. It is open to the first 12 students in each of the three sections who register. Seniors w/lunch 12pm-2pm Ladies 2pm-4pm Students over 12 4PM -6 Additional classes will be scheduled if demand is there. Participants who bring their own handguns and ammunition will be charged $10. Handguns and 30 rounds of 9mm ammunition will be provided for participants who do not have their own handgun. The cost for those participants is $25. Lunch is not provided as a part of the student class. Information about concealed carry permits will be distributed at the course. Student class (Age 12+) starts at 4 PM. |
